On-site training in Maryland, Washington DC & Northern Virginia
First Aid Certification & Training
Cuts, burns, falls, allergic reactions: most emergencies are not cardiac arrests, they are injuries that need a calm, trained response in the first few minutes. Our on-site first aid class gives your team that response. We come to your workplace or school with all supplies and scenarios, and your group is certified before we pack up.
Who needs First Aid training?
Childcare centers and preschools
Childcare licensing in Maryland, DC, and Virginia generally requires staff to hold current first aid certification, and an on-site class keeps a whole center compliant in one visit.
Construction, warehouse, and facilities crews
OSHA expects employers to ensure prompt first aid is available when a clinic or hospital is not close by, and trained employees are the most direct way to meet that expectation.
Schools, camps, and after-school programs
Playground falls and scraped knees are routine. Staff who can assess and treat them keep small incidents small.
Restaurant and hospitality teams
Kitchens combine knives, heat, and pace. Burn care and bleeding control are skills your staff will actually use.
Workplace emergency response teams
Floor wardens and safety committee members round out their CPR training with the injury care side of being a designated responder.
Certification details
Certifying body
Offered through both the American Heart Association (Heartsaver First Aid) and HSI. We match the certifying body to what your licensing agency or employer requires.
How long it lasts
First aid certification is valid for two years.
Same day cards
Cards are issued same day at the end of class. Many groups pair first aid with CPR and AED in a single combined session so one visit covers both credentials.
What to expect at your on-site session
Setup
Your instructor brings bandaging supplies, training aids, and all course materials, and is set up before your team walks in.
Instruction
Practical, scenario-driven teaching focused on the injuries your workplace is most likely to see, from bleeding control to sudden illness.
Hands-on practice
Participants practice bandaging, splinting, and working through realistic injury scenarios so the steps stick under pressure.
Skills check
The instructor confirms each participant can size up a scene and deliver the right care in the right order.
Cards issued
Same-day certification cards, plus attendance documentation your compliance or licensing file can use.
Group sizes and logistics
- Groups from 4 to 50+. Larger teams rotate through scenario stations so everyone gets real practice time.
- A training room or break area with tables and some open floor space is all we need.
- Combine with CPR and AED for complete responder coverage in a single visit.
- Evening and weekend sessions are available for teams that cannot train during business hours.
